Good Morning…..I’m not sure if any of you ever knew this about me, but I love movies….All types Epics, Action, Comedy, Romance, Science Fiction, Indie, and even Documentaries......Another little known fact about me is that of all of the Movies that I have grown to love….I have one absolute favorite…..The Wizard of OZ….I know that this may seem a little strange for a Young African American Male from the Inner City (I Actually have a huge poster like the one below in my Home)…but their is a reason why this Movie was released over 70 years ago and continuously manages to end up on just about every reputable list of best sellers….It’s the Timeless representation of finding that in which …..(See I’m going somewhere with this we’ve already haveJ)…….If you have recently watched the movie then you’d pick up on the Fact that the Actors that Played the Lion, Tin Man, and Scarecrow…we’re actually portrayed without any costumes as Farm workers in the Beginning and End of the Movie….These Characters displayed the very attributes that their counterparts lacked (i.e. a Heart, Brain, and Courage)…..But for as we all know, it took almost two hours and many wardrobe changes later to bring the entire story Full Circle…..The point I’m trying to make here is that sometimes when we get caught up in the Wonderful World of OZ, we become Docile and Detached from our Inner Self…..We become Distant and Numb to our biggest Attributes and Strengths….Even worse, we fall into a sense of Hopelessness and Ignorance…..because for some odd reason we know that this Courage and Knowledge is what we ultimately want but we forget that we even had it in the first place….Open your eyes…..you don’t need meaningless trinkets (A Diploma, A Red Ticking Heart on a Golden Chain, or even a Medal of Honor) to prove to others and yourself that you have what is already lying within you!.....Simply Click your heels and GO HOME, GO to where it is that you feel that sense of empowerment….Find that place that existed before that Storm (See another genius move by the movie see the representation…) came into your life and put you into a place of everything that is terrifying and different…THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

"Go" Mode

"Go" Mode, we all know what it is….It’s the moments where we find that strength…it’s the moment where we’re the most focused…it’s the moment when our Backs are against the Wall; some people are always in "Go" Mode and for this they are often criticized as being too Ambitious, Overzealous, and even at times down right CRAZY! But wouldn’t it be even crazier to only want to "React" or "Reach" for something after life has repeatedly placed you into a corner? If you have your back to the Wall and all of the Challenges of Life in Front of you, then you simply have nowhere to "Go"….That’s why you have to STAY ON YOUR TOES...In order for life to Box me in, it would need to first master my Foot Work...In Order for life to knock me down it would then need to out maneuver my Defenses....In order for life to defeat me all together it would need to bring Death, because life simply isn’t ready for people on the "GO"….

Fear Nothing

New, the definition of the word means having recently come into existence….We all love the Word, it’s Exciting….It’s Exhilarating…..it’s Intriguing…..and even at times Explosive!...but the other problem is that it’s also Mysterious and even worst Different….Now let’s take a look at another word Resistance- the act or power of resisting, or withstanding…Now let’s try and Combine those two together….The act or power of resisting, or withstanding something that has recently come into existence…..or in laymen’s terms withstanding something that has yet to even give you any reason too….I consider myself to be a person of probability and a vast user of Good old Common Sense, but I can absolutely positively guarantee you that if I had some Magic Bag full of the "Future"…then I would make it my absolute mission to guide myself and every single one of you in the right direction, but I don’t…So you won’t have me giving out False hopes and Empty promises of Happiest and Prosperity…But what you will get is encouragement, and a push and nudge towards NEW! NEW PEOPLE, NEW HOMES, NEW CAREERS, NEW ADVENTURES, and NEW ENDEVOURS!!!! You can’t be so resistant and worrisome about that in which you’ve never experienced…you can only Hope for the Best and Prepare for the Worst….As Warren Buffett said Fear Nothing!

Frenemy

It’s my opinion that the opinion and criticism given by people that we consider to be “Non” Friends, can sometimes be more honest and effective then that of the people that we Love and Trust….This is because they aren’t trying to spare our feelings, or be biased or distribute brownie points based upon the relationship(s) and/or bond(s) between one another….I was told something by a person that I don’t quite consider and Enemy but am forced to deal with on a Daily Basis (hence the word “Frenemy”); that really stuck with me…..OWNERSHIP! No matter what situation that you’re in or have been through, you’re responsible for at least 50% of it….If something has gone wrong at any moment on your life, then you can probably step back from that situation and see things that you could of changed to effect the outcome…Can’t Afford that Car? Why did you buy it?......School is too Hard? Why did you enroll?.....You can’t stand your Job? Why haven’t you found a new one yet?....Trying to lose weight? But you ate that Cheese Burger?!........I have taken this statement to heart and have used it in a way that makes me fully evaluate the decisions that I make…..I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE PAST, BUT I CAN AVOID REPEATING IT!
