Stop and Stand
Often in Life we find ourselves running away from danger, instead of running towards safety. It’s similar to a scene in a Horror film, before they reveal...the image of the killer….The audience, isn’t aware as too what the victim is running from, but is well aware that there is a sense of immediate and imminent danger, increasing the need to run simply to save oneself, without truly understanding the best way to deal with that which we are running from…In life our pains, demons, and sorrows have somehow become these larger than life monsters; which send us into a state of endless flight….Simply running away from that which we are unwilling to address and are unwilling to try and understand, and are unwilling to process. If you don’t know what you’re running from, you will never know what you are running too. You must have the courage to take the time to stop running…to stop and face that which haunts you. It is only when we get a better understanding of the things that look to kill us, that we are able to find a way to kill it….Take time, turn around, confront that which pursues you, and you’ll find that it’s much easier to walk down the road of life, without someone or something forcing you to run down it. –J.
